Intro
Your chance in betting on a Thai Lottery is 1 in 1 Million. The odds may sound ridiculous but it is better when compared to most lotteries.
Today we will tackle a quick discussion of what is and how Thai Lottery works.
What is the Thai lottery
There are two types of Thai Rath lottery tickets. The first is the Thai Government Lottery or TGL, and Thai Charity Lottery or TCL.
TCL is unfortunately discontinued. But it usually held for specific charity campaigns with approval from the special ministry. You can think of it as a project to solicit donations.
TGL on the other hand is the main lottery that is overseen by the Thai government. Every month, they announce a winner every 1st and the 16th of each month. 2 winners monthly.
Lottery tickets are made from a special thin paper to prevent counterfeiting and they have a six-digit number. It is also printed with a two-tone imprint of a Wayupak, a mythical bird in Thai. They change the imprint for each draw to commemorate certain holidays, or events.
Tickets are sold in a pair so that the winner can share half the prize with someone else. Since the first prize is B3 million per ticket, a pair can win B6 million. Ideally, the more tickets and pairs you buy, the higher your chances and prizes you win. คาสิโนออนไลน์ เครดิตฟรี
How to play
Lottery tickets can be purchased through authorized vendors. All vendors need to be at least 20 years of age. The list of all authorized vendors is all posted on the Government Lottery Office or GLO.
Some can sell tickets on behalf of a registered vendor but would require sub-vendors to keep a copy of their official ID to sell without any issues.
As mentioned before, each ticket is sold in pairs and they are sold for B80 each. Each ticket has a six-digit number.
Matching 6 digits give you the major prizes. There are 5 different prizes and they all have their separate draws.
There are also special prizes such as getting a ticket number above and below the first-prize number. Meanwhile, you can also earn small prizes such as getting the first three digits, the last three digits, and the last two digits.
If you manage to get the winning numbers, anything that’s worth B20,000 as a prize can be cashed from the vendor who sold the ticket. Anything higher has to be claimed in person at the Government Lottery Office. Lastly, prizes must be claimed within two years from its draw.
